Our new Insulated Market Bags

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHT
Happy Anniversary, Lettuce Eat Well Farmers' Market!
This week's Spotlight shines on Lettuce Eat Well Farmers' Market as we celebrate the Market's second anniversary. To help celebrate the occasion, we will be giving away free Market Bucks to customers who bring new folks to the market. Here's how it works: If you are already a customer of LEWFM and know others who have never been to the Market, bring them with you this Friday and/or next Friday and both you and the newcomer will recieve a free Market Buck that you can spend at any of the vendor booths. There is no limite to the number of new people you can bring to the Market so load up the vane and come on down. (Offer valid for adults only.)

Insulated Market Bags
While at Market, we invite you to stop by the Market Management booth to purchase an insulated market bag (pictured above) to keep your perishable items cool while you shop. The bags, which sell for $7.00 each, have a reinforced bottom and zippered top and are of high quality material made to last many visits to the Market. In addition, you could use them for picnics and other outings where you want to keep cold foods cold or hot foods hot. They can also make nice gifts.

SEASONAL & CHANGING PRODUCTS/ITEMS
Our vendors bring an array of Spring season produce, such as salad greens, radishes, mustard greens, green garlic, green onions, and much more to Market each week. They also bring both cut and potted herbs, vegetable plants (including tomato, pepper, watermelon, cantaloupe, and more), perennial plants, and a variety of beautiful potted plant arrangements. Recently, strawberries have arrived at Market, and we hope to see Raspberries soon. Mother Nature's harvest cannot be perfectly timed, so come to Market ready to be pleasantly surprised to see what each of the vendors have gleaned from their labors in the fields.

READY MADE FOODS
With our Outdoor Market, we have ready made food available now. Featuring two vendors alternating weekly, our meats and sandwiches are great for a treat while you shop or as a take-home dinner for your family! This week, our ready made food vendor will be:

GRILLING BY LOGAN:  Weather permitting, Logan, of Mohr Animal Acres, will be grilling a variety of meats from Mohr Animal Acres. (June 1, 15, & 29)

REMINDER
Remember to stock up on your eggs, meats, cheeses, and other items from Mohr Animal Acres because they will be at market every other week throughout the Outdoor Market Season.  (June 1, 15, & 29) They will be at market this week.

DID YOU KNOW?
At our market, you can use your credit card for purchases from Mt. Kofinas Olive Oil and Mohr Animal Acres.

KIDS & KRAFTS
Charles Purdue is a natural with the kids: They gravitate to him and his hand made Native American Flutes, "tape drums" and other fun games and craft activities he brings to market so kids can have loads of fun while their parents peacefully and leisurely shop the market. Parents tell us their children, who hate to go to the grocery store love to go to the Farmers' Market so they can hang out with Charles.
