THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHT
Congratulations to our Very Valued Vendors.  Because you, our market customers, voted LEWFM as your favorite farmers' market, we are thrilled to announce that Lettuce Eat Well Farmers' Market has been ranked fourth in the State of Ohio in the American Farmland Trust's America's Favorite Farmers' Market contest.  When we announced this award to our vendors during this past week's market they were honored and pleased to know how much you value the work they do to bring you the healthiest and tastiest foods each week.

Plentiful Produce
To give you a bird's eye view of the award winning vendors, throughout this week's, and subsequent newsletters, we will include numerous pictures we hope you will enjoy seeing, depicting this year's outdoor market.  Thank you for your continued support and patronage of LEWFM!

  NOTICES
  • Mohr Animal Acres will be at market this week, so remember to stock up on eggs, meats, and other items they sell.  They attend market every other week.
  • Grilling By Logan will be at market this week (weather permitting), grilling a variety of meats from Mohr Animal Acres.  You might want to put your order in  with Logan when you arrive at market so he can be preparing your food as you shop.  The sandwiches can be eaten at market and/or taken home for your family's supper.
  • LEWFM on Facebook:  The market's Facebook page is chock full of  information, not just about the market but about other items of interest regarding all things foodie.  Recently, articles were posted regarding the very important topic of GMO.  If you are unfamiliar with why this is such a hot topic you can learn more about it by checking out the market's Facebook page.  You do not need to join Facebook, just simply click here http://www.facebook.com/lewfm.org

RECENTLY ADDED ITEMS

A favorite among many shoppers is The Tree Hugger Company.  Julia and Tammy are always searching for additional ways they can supply market shoppers with chemical free soaps and other cleaning products, along with a large array of other useful items.  All items they sell are handcrafted by them.

They recently introduced their Laundry Stain Bar, which is already a bit hit with moms whose kids' clothes are often a challenge to get clean.

Another favorite vendor is SUMMUH Hummus.  Chef Ethan is always creating new varieties of his hugely big hit: homemade hummus.  It is not only nutritious but delicious as well.  Ethan sources many of his ingredients locally and regionally and uses his creative talents to turn what is available each week into the yummiest hummus around.

VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
We are very pleased to announce that we now accept Food Stamps at our market.  If you would like to use your food stamp benefits to purchase items at our market simply bring your EBT card to the Market Management Booth.

We hope everyone will help us spread the word about this great news.  Please share the information with neighbors, friends, and co-workers so food stamp beneficiaries will become aware that they can now purchase fresh produce and other healthy food items at the Farmers' Market, directly from the people who produce the foods.
