Newsletter for Friday April 25, 2014

THIS WEEK'S MARKET
This week is Regular Market Day, with a full line up of vendors.  Market will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 P.M.  This week will be the last of the Winter Market season.

May 2 will mark the beginning of the Summer Market season, when market will be held every Friday from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the market's year-round location at Cheviot United Methodist Church 3820 Westwood Northern Blvd.

RECENTLY ADDED ITEMS
We love our vendors, for many reasons.  A major reason we love our vendors is because they listen to their customers and provide for them the items they request.  This week we are pleased to announce that Karen Blocher/Green GRRL Wisdom has expanded her lineup to include a much-requested item:  SOAPS.  Yes, for all of you who have waited patiently for Karen's soaps to "cure" your wait is over.  The following came in from Karen recently, just in time to pass the good news on to you.  And as you can see, she did not forget our doggie customers.

Soaps! Green GRRRL Wisdom will be premiering her soaps this Friday. Currently, Green GRRRL is offering four varieties: 1) Olive Oil soap - a basic mild, unscented castile soap; great for shaving, too, it leaves the skin super soft  2) an Oatmeal-Honey soap - can be used by everyone, but especially designed for sensitive skin, soothes irritations  3) Marshmallow Root Shampoo bar - with marshmallow root for easy detangling; coconut milk, jojoba oil and shea butter for moisturizing, this bar is great for all hair types and provides the extra moisture needed for dry hair, making even grey hair more manageable, and 4) Fresh Dawg soap - a minty blend designed to help your canine smell clean and repel fleas.
Karen will continue to offer the many other items in her lineup of herbal teas, essential oils, lotion bars and other body care products, and much more.

REMINDERS
While some of you are long-time readers of the newsletter, people who are new to the market are reading the newsletter for the first time; therefore, the Reminders section is included each week so new folks can see what's happening around the market and around town.

Fox Run Produce and Learning Center will be bringing pork to LEWFM this Friday.  This will be in somewhat limited supply so check with Ame regarding how long she expects to have pork available.  Ame will also be bringing seed potatoes for those of you who want to try your hand at growing some of your own food.  If you're unsure about how to plant potatoes, Ame will be glad to give you some pointers.

For a full listing of our vendors, their products, and services including:
  • Kids & Krafts (available starting at 4:45), where the kids can have loads of fun so you can leisurely shop the market
  • Many food and non-food items
  • and a list of vendors who accept credit cards
Check out our Vendors.
