Newsletter for Friday August 30, 2013

Some customers have asked us when we will be moving back to Harvest Home Park; therefore, we realize that not everyone has been made aware that we will be staying at Cheviot United Methodist Church throughout the summer.  Please help us spread the word about the market's correct location!

While the market's year round location is Cheviot United Methodist Church 3820 Westwood Northern Blvd. 45211, the location at the church varies depending on other activities at the church and depending on the weather (sunny and warm, we're outside; stormy or cold, we're inside).  Just follow the happy voices and you'll find us.

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHT
This week's spotlight shines on Gypsy Grove, which offers many varieties of tea blends for you to enjoy.  Whether you prefer to sit down with a soothing cup of hot herbal tea or sip on a tall glass of refreshing iced brew, you can find a variety of choices at the Gypsy Grove booth.  When we asked Lahna how the teas come about she offered the following:

All week long I concoct various blends of teas and herbs trying to find my newest flavor for you to sample each week!  While many of my combinations are lovely hot, finding the perfect combinations for a new iced tea each week is an enjoyable challenge that I manage to conquer each week!

I am the sole proprietor, making these teas available to you.  I source my teas from various places, but make sure to buy organic whenever possible!  Several of the herbs in my teas I grow myself, using all organic methods, and the majority of what I am not currently growing is sourced from other local growers with similar organic growing practices.  I do everything within my means to eat organically and I will not put anything in my teas that I would not eat myself!

Along with Lahna's many herbal tea blends you can also purchase hand crafted re-useable tea bags, made from 100% unbleached cotton fabric.  You can also purchase a gift set which includes a tea mug, a re-useable tea bag, and your choice of tea flavor for only $10!  Gypsy Grove also sells high quality Persian saffron.

If you have any questions about the beneficial effects of the many herbs and teas or how to brew loose leaf teas yourself Lahna is more than willing to visit with you to your heart’s content.  So next time you’re at the market stop by & say hello, try a sample of her newest flavor of tea, and maybe take some home to share with your family & friends.
