THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHT
This week the spotlight shines on Mari Ann Chell of Yellow Creek Weavers, a new vendor to the market.  When we asked Mari Ann to tell us about the product she brings to the market she offered the following:

Yellow Creek Weavers is a local business (Delhi) committed to making excellent rugs that leave a small environmental footprint.  The rugs are made using a four harness oak loom powered by people.  All the materials used are made in USA.  We use a triple hand finish.  In addition, we offer: Create a Rug program that allows the customer to choose colors, color combinations, length and width (18 or 24 in) and even, finishing options.  Our prices are reasonable because we believe everyone should be able to own a hand-made rug.  Our newest addition to our Rainbow rug line, inspired by Lettuce Eat Well Farmers' Market, is Purely Natural made with no dyes.

We hope you will stop by Mari Ann's booth to welcome her to the market.  One look at the quality handmade rugs she offers is sure to impress; and, just in time for those who will be purchasing gifts for friends and family.  When making your purchases at your local Farmers' Market, you not only get the best quality, you support a local artisan and by doing so you support your local community.  And remember, you can choose the color scheme that is perfect for your decor.

THE WINTER MARKET HAS BEGUN
Just a reminder that the market is now held in its warm indoor location at Cheviot United Methodist Church, 3820 Westwood Northern Blvd.  The hours remain the same:  3:00 - 7:00 P.M.

NOTICES

  • Mohr Animal Acres will be at market November 16th, 30th, and every other week thereafter.
  • Evergreen Holistic Learning Center will be at market November 16th, 30th, and December 14.  Watch this newsletter for their schedule for 2013.
  • Remember to fill out your free raffle ticket each week at the Market Management booth.  At the end of market day the last Friday of each month during the winter market (Nov. through April) we will draw a ticket and the lucky customer will win $20 in Market Bucks, which they can use at any of the vendor booths (no expiration date).  And, as a way to introduce more people to LEWFM, customers who bring new folks to the market will receive one additional raffle ticket for each new person they "bring" to market (they don't actually have to come in your car).

SEASONAL & CHANGING PRODUCTS/ITEMS
In addition to many of the summer-market vendors who are continuing, we have added several new vendors to the lineup for the winter market.  You will see some new faces among both the craft vendors and the food vendors.  If you plan to purchase gifts, buying them from local artisans who make environmentally conscious crafts and value added food items can be a way to delight the recipient of the gifts while also helping to increase the local economy and help protect the environment.  You can also give the gift of LEWFM Market Bucks that the recipients can use at any of the market vendor booths (no expiration date).
