This week's spotlight shines on Ora Vichitchot and her handcrafted pottery. With Valentine's Day coming soon, we invite you to stop by Ora's Pottery booth, where she offers a unique variety of functional and decorative items from which to choose, and in a wide price range to fit everyone's budget. In addition to pottery, you will also find creative sculptures of adorable animals like frogs, cats, turtles, and more. Ora's words below provide insight into the care she takes in creating the sculptures.
The creatures have such vivid personable expressions that customers always ask how they are made to look so alive. The answer is always, "Because I make them only when I feel inspired to create them, then I make them with love."
Ora has over 18 years experience working with clay and showing her fine art. She has won many awards at various art shows for her pottery. She describes her work as one of a kind, simple but elegant. Now you, too, can be the proud owner of one of Ora's creations.
NOTICES
- Due to last Friday's snow storm that hit our northern neighbors very hard, Mohr Animal Acres was not able to be at market. They will be at market this week. (Hopefully no more Friday snow storms) So they can get back on their every other week schedule, they will attend market two weeks in a row. Their schedule will be as follows: February 1st, 8th, 22nd, and every other week there after.
LETTUCE LIVE MORE SUSTAINABLY
This truly is a great time to learn to live more sustainably, for there is an entire genre of literature just waiting to be explored. And, what more sustainable (and free) way to obtain all this helpful information than from the local library? Doing a keyword search using the words, sustainable living, on the library's Advanced Search page results in over 200 items. There are titles for both adults and children. Peruse the listing and request that your selections be sent to your local branch. Simple, quick, easy, and very fun. Connect to the library's search page here.
REMINDERS
While some of you are long-time readers of the newsletter, people who are new to the market are reading the newsletter for the first time; therefore, the Reminders section is included each week so new folks can see what's happening around the market and around town.
Great deal for gardeners, Limited time offer from February 1 - February 28 (or until all are sold, whichever comes first). There are times when something that seems too good to be true is actually true. Granny's Garden School in Loveland is sharing their good fortune. They recently received a donation of 4,000 Garden Claws to be used for fund raising. Usually selling for $25 - $30, Granny's Garden is offering them for $20,
half of which will go to Granny's Garden School and, if you use code
"LEWFM" when placing your order, the other $10 will go to Lettuce Eat
Well Farmers' Market. If you are unfamiliar with how awesome the garden
claw is, watch the demonstration video here.

After viewing the video you will likely want to order one for yourself and/or a friend. You can order by credit card or by check. You can pick up your garden claw at our market early in March. Details will be emailed to you after you place your order. Remember to use code "LEWFM". This offer is for a very limited time. For more information regarding ordering click here.
