This week, we are pleased to introduce our newest vendor, Eli Creek Farms. The following from their website tells it all.
The Eli Creek Family
is a fifth generation farming family in Connersville, In. The farming
tradition has been carried on through two dedicated families working
together.
At Eli Creek Farms Inc., we grow a large variety of vegetables. Approximately 90 acres are under cultivation in vegetables and an additional 160 acres for our free range chickens and other animals such as cattle, rabbits, quail, turkey, pheasant, and ducks. Our goal is to provide vegetables grown on the farm (either in the fields or in greenhouses) for as much of the year as we are able. All of our vegetables are herbicide and pesticide free. Our animals are outside everyday in fresh grass and air. They are never fed byproducts, growth hormones, or other drugs of any kind. We allow them to grow at their own natural pace in their own natural environment. Although it takes more time to raise quality grass-fed meats this way, it's a better product for you, it's better for the animals, and it's better for the world we share!!
There's nothing more satisfying than knowing that our customers trust our products. We want you to feel secure in enjoying all the natural vegetables and meats that come from our home to yours.

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE FARMERS' MARKET
This is your chance to let Cincinnati know how much you love Lettuce Eat Well Farmers' Market. You can do so by voting for the market in City Beat's Best of Cincinnati 2014. Simply click on the link below and follow the directions. You will find farmers' markets in the "Eats" category. You will notice that Lettuce Eat Well Farmers' Market is not listed. At the beginning of the winter market we made some changes in the way we are holding market. This
Friday Jan. 31 (3:00 - 6:00) will be what we are calling a Regular Market Day, while
the following Friday February 7 (4:00 - 6:00) will be what we are calling Pre-order Pick
Up Day. To help everyone easily adjust to the changes, we offer the
following check list of what to do at market this week:
Please note the new time of the Regular Winter Market Days is 3:00 until 6:00 P.M.
For complete Dates & Details about the entire 2013-2014 Winter Market click here.
- Purchase all your food and non food items as you regularly do from the full line up of vendors who will be present this Friday.
- Place your pre-orders with the two vendors who will be participating in the Pre-order Market Days. Please note that you will be required to pay for your items at time of ordering, at which time you will receive a receipt for your pre-order. We even made it easy to locate these vendors by placing them side by side at the beginning of the market space.

Time to sign up for the Eating Seasonally CSA.
Are you thinking about what you plan to fix for dinner - this Summer? Well, your farmers are and they need to hear from you. The folks at the Romans Family Farm have been busy making preparations for an abundant harvest this coming season so as to provide customers with fresh, nutrient dense produce. They are currently perusing the seed catalogs, deciding what seeds and in what quantity to order. To ensure they order the correct amount, not too little as to run out of your favorite produce items and not too many as to have produce going to waste, they rely on knowing in advance what you, their customers, want. This means it's that time again: time to sign up for the Eating Seasonally CSA.
If you are looking for a way to feed your family fresh, nutrient dense produce joining Romans Family Farm Eating Seasonally CSA will fit the bill. And, all their produce is grown using no synthetic chemicals.
