Newsletter for Friday May 17, 2013.

Some customers have asked us when we will be moving back to Harvest Home Park; therefore, we realize that not everyone has been made aware that we will be staying at Cheviot United Methodist Church throughout the summer.  Please help us spread the word about the market's correct location!

While the market's year round location is Cheviot United Methodist Church 3820 Westwood Northern Blvd. 45211, the location at the church varies depending on other activities at the church and depending on the weather (sunny and warm, we're outside; stormy or cold, we're inside).  Just follow the happy voices and you'll find us.

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHT
This week's spotlight shines on Cheviot United Methodist Church.  We do this because without the generosity of the folks at Cheviot UMC we would likely have had to cancel market last Friday.  Perhaps you remember that we experienced torrential rain most of last Friday afternoon.  Instead of cancelling the market or having to deal with the downpour of rain, the vendors and customers were dry and happy inside the church's fellowship hall.  So, this week our hats are off to Cheviot UMC and all the great folks there who are always happy to help the market in anyway they can.

Speaking of rain, last Friday we saw a significant decline in customer attendance.  Our vendors work hard all week to provide customers with the highest quality products and they depend on customers to support them each week through their purchases.  Therefore, we hope you will come out each week to shop the farmers' market and help support our local vendors.  Come rain or come shine you can shop in comfort at Lettuce Eat Well Farmers' Market.

The Romans Family Farm, who has been a Very Valued Vendor at LEWFM since its first year of operation, will be returning again for this summer's market.  YAY!  They will again be offering their Eating Seasonally CSA (Community Supported Agriculture).  If you are unfamiliar with the concept of a CSA, there are many online sites where you can learn more, such as the Local Harvest Website http://www.localharvest.org/csa/    Eating Seasonally CSA is currently taking applications for their 2013 CSA.  For further information you can visit their Facebook page here.

    Garden Claw
Great deal for gardeners:  Limited time offer has been extended!
There are times when something that seems too good to be true is actually true.  Granny's Garden School in Loveland is sharing their good fortune.  They recently received a donation of Garden Claws to be used for fund raising.  Usually selling for $25 - $30, Granny's Garden is offering them for $20, half of which will go to Granny's Garden School and, if you use code "LEWFM" when placing your order, the other $10 will go to Lettuce Eat Well Farmers' Market.  If you are unfamiliar with how awesome the garden claw is, watch the demonstration video here.

[it's the second video, further down the page, picturing the children with Granny]

After viewing the video you will likely want to order one for yourself and/or a friend.  You can order by credit card or by check.  You can pick up your garden claw at our market.  Details will be emailed to you after you place your order.  Remember to use code "LEWFM".  This offer is for a limited time.  For more information regarding ordering click here.
