While
the market's year round location is Cheviot United Methodist Church
3820 Westwood Northern Blvd. 45211, the location at the church varies
depending on other activities at the church and depending on the weather
(sunny and warm, we're outside; stormy or cold, we're inside). Just
follow the happy voices and you'll find us.

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHT
This week's spotlight shines on our newest vendor, Learning to Live Sustainably (L2LS). Pictured above is one of L2LS's first customers during their first market day with us last Friday. The unidentified customer is obviously contemplating what she wants to purchase from the wide array of choices offered by L2LS. Their menu board (in the foreground) shows all their offerings, both what they have that day at market and what they can bring the following week, upon customers' requests. Among L2LS's lineup are breads from Sixteen Bricks Artisan Bakehouse and Shadeau Bakery, along with local raw honey from Bee Haven. This week they will also begin selling jarred mustard from Gene the Mustard King. All products are produced locally in Cincinnati. Regular shoppers might notice these items were previously sold at the market by CENSUDI. The items are now being sold by L2LS due to the request of CENSUDI that we spread to other vendors some of the items CENSUDI previously sold.
We are pleased to add Learning to Live Sustainably to our lineup of very valued vendors, as their mission is so in line with that of LEWFM. In fact, L2LS fits well with what we dubbed this summer's market, The Summer of Sustainability. As we were planning this summer's market, we knew we wanted to include information on ways we can all live more sustainably; however, we never imagined at the time that we would have a new vendor whose mission is to help us all learn to live more sustainably, one step at a time. L2LS's tagline is "We can do it together." Owners, Mel and Mary, believe strongly that we can all learn to live sustainably if we do it together. In that vein, they will be offering sustainability tips and providing information to customers who are seeking help in making different choices but who don't know where/how to begin. So please stop by their booth with your questions about how to live more sustainably. They will be thrilled to talk with you, while also providing you with some very healthy food choices. They plan to offer additional items in the future so be sure to check in with them often. And, if there are items you would like for them to offer, just let them know.

REMINDERS
While some of you are long-time readers of the newsletter, people who are new to the market are reading the newsletter for the first time; therefore, the Reminders section is included each week so new folks can see what's happening around the market and around town.

I Love My Farmers' Market Celebration marks the fifth year American Farmland Trust has hosted a summer-long event to honor our nation's hardworking family farmers and to raise the national awareness about our bountiful farmers' markets. The celebration encourages consumers to pledge to support family farmers by making at least $10 of their food purchases each week at their farmers' market. Already spend more than that at the farmers' market? How about increasing your weekly purchase by an additional $10? In addition, you are invited to stop by the market management booth for details about how you can enter to win a market bag filled with market goodies, along with $10 in Market Bucks. You can also pledge your support for your favorite farmers' market (and we sure hope it's LEWFM) at the Love My Farmers' Market website lovemyfarmersmarket.org

VENDORS: We currently have an opening for an egg/meat vendor. If you are interested or know someone who might be, you may email us through the link below.
