Danny Reckman, Licensed Massage Therapist |
If you're feeling a bit stressed and would like a gentle way to reduce your stress, you are invited to stop by this week's featured vendor. Danny Reckman, Licensed Massage Therapist, began offering chair massage during last winter's market and was an instant hit. He has developed a clientele of very satisfied customers. It's fun to watch a person enter market tired and stressed, and then after a brief time of Danny working out the kinks, we see the same person with a relaxed, almost euphoric appearance.
Danny actually wears two hats at LEWFM: He is one half of The Rock Guys. Along with his brother, Chuck, The Rock Guys dazzle their customers with crystals, geodes, Herkimer diamonds, and other fascinating rocks. Their prices start at just $1.00; therefore, even the market's youngest customers can pick out a prize stone.

NOTICES
- Mohr Animal Acres attend market every other week. They will be at market this week and ask that if you have empty egg cartons to please bring them with you. They can make good use of them.
The Winter Market Vendors offer a wide variety of food and non food items. Yes, you can still Eat Well even in the winter. Perusing the vendors' booths, customers can take home food items they can serve for appetizers through the entire meal, ending with yummy desserts. From breakfast through midnight snack, LEWFM vendors have it covered. Customers can even purchase locally grown grains and flours, including wheat, cornmeal and polenta. The non food vendors offer both functional and decorative items, including handmade rugs, pottery, handcrafted flutes and other wooden items, along with handmade chemical-free soaps and household cleaners, doggie treats, and for the outdoor feathered friends, bird seed wreaths.
For a full listing of our vendors, their products, the weeks they attend market, and their services including:

LETTUCE LIVE MORE SUSTAINABLY
In last week's newsletter we gave a preview and update regarding the direction the market is going. (If you did not see that issue, you can access previous issues through the Archive section on the left side of the newsletter). We plan to include ideas and updates in each newsletter, giving readers suggestions on how to incorporate changes into their day to day life, changes that can result in Living More Sustainably. This week we feature The No Impact Project.
While few of us will ever go to the lengths Colin Beavan went when he decided to go "off the grid" for one year, their website offers information that will surely provide each of us with an idea for a change we can put into practice. And remember, making one change each week will result in a year of Living More Sustainably, thus helping both people and the planet. For more information about The No Impact Project, click here

• Have capital (it needn’t be much) that you are interested in lending to support our local foodshed;
• Are a community member interested in this initiative;
